Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP)
The LADWP is proposing an ocean desal project to be located at the
Scattergood power plant. The desal plant would use the power plant
cooling water as their source water and would mix brine discharge with
the neighboring Hyperion wastewater treatment facility. This cooling
water is used in a once-through cooling (OTC) process.
