Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to visit our page.
This website is created in a bid to help raise awareness and show support for a pressing issue that is already affecting millions of lives across the globe – the water crisis.
Water scarcity or the lack of sufficient available resources of clean, safe water to meet the demands of water within a specific region has become an already growing global concern.
Many key stressors can result in the difficulty of obtaining fresh and clean water resource, including overuse, the rapid increase in demand, climate change, pollution, lack of infrastructure, and poor management of water resources.
Unless we do our part, further deterioration and depletion of the available sources of water will only get more serious, putting more and more nations at risk. The water crisis is projected to escalate in most countries over the coming years.
Water is precious and is an essential part of our everyday life. That said, shortages of water supply can have a significant impact on our lives – health, the food chain, economy, and our overall livelihood. Additionally, the issue of the water crisis isn’t just a human problem. The problem can have a dramatic effect on our ecosystems and all living things as well as other natural phenomenon or processes that require water.
Saving the Earth from Water Crisis
If you are currently living in an area struck with water drought or shortage of water supply, then you have a firsthand experience of the impacts of the crisis in water resources. While in some places unlimited access to potable water may be easily taken for granted, water stress is a real and serious concern.
And, with the alarming global changes in the weather patterns, ultimately this problem can become more frequent and widespread.
It is high time that everyone must acknowledge and learn about the problems of water stress or scarcity and the principal threats that affect our access to and supply of water.
More so, we need to dive deeper. We need to explore the various ways we can protect, conserve, and responsibly manage the water resources that both human and nonhuman life depend on every day.
We welcome any suggestions and ideas to help boost our awareness and conservation effort. If each of us will do our share, we can help make this planet we are blessed to live in better and sustainable for the future.
